Annuals

Annuals are plants that perform their entire life cycle, from seed to flower and to seed again, all within a single growing season, after which the plant dies. We’ve categorized annuals on this page into spring, summer and fall based on bloom time. Annuals are grown for versatile use in the garden. They’re utilized in large bedding areas, mixed in containers and window boxes, and interplanted among perennials, trees and shrubs for pops of bright seasonal color.  Given the proper care and maintenance, annuals provide long lasting color and unique form to the garden.
